Due to the lack of mushrooms in the forests, and therefore the lack of mushroom pickers, this year's rut went smoothly. In our office organization of the hunt, we had several groups of hunters, of which 3 groups hunted in the Carpathian Mountains and two in the Polish lowlands. A total of 16 red stags were obtained, of which 5 were medal trophy red stags. Due to the beautiful weather, the rut this year was very spectacular and lasted from September 10 to September 25. If it were not for the later mushroom boom and the armies of mushroom pickers in the forests, it could probably have lasted until the first days of October? In Bulgaria, we also hunt in mountainous areas, where trophies most often reach a weight of between 8 and 10 kg. Of course, you can find interesting abnorm trophies and beautiful selective forms of antlers. Red stags in the form of eighth pointer or tenth pointer stags weighing 6-7 kg are often encountered.
